At RGLC, we are dedicated to developing competitive, high-character lacrosse players through a focus on skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Our club brings together passionate athletes, supportive families, and experienced coaches to help every player reach their full potential — on and off the field. Whether you’re new to the game or building on years of experience, RGLC offers opportunities to grow, compete, and be part of a strong lacrosse community.
Players of all skills and abilities are welcome and encouraged to join even if you’re brand new to lacrosse.
Look for more as the 2026 season gets closer!
The Roosevelt Girls Lacrosse Club (RGLC) is managed by a volunteer board of parents. Please reach out to us with any questions at rglaxc@gmail.com.
Player fees for the 2026 season are $600.00. RGLC is an independent club that is entirely self-funded. Registration fees make up a significant portion of our budget and cover: Seattle Parks & Rec field charges, coach salaries, WSLA team league fees, and equipment (goals, nets, balls, goalie gear, first aid kit, etc.).
Players must join the USA Lacrosse association for $35 as required by WSLA and RGLC. A current USA Lacrosse Membership Number must be submitted before players may tryout or practice for insurance purposes -- NO EXCEPTIONS. Please apply or renew online at: https://www.usalacrosse.com/membership
Once the season begins on in Spring 2026, RGLC does not provide refunds.
For more information about a payment plan or to request financial support, please email the Board rglaxc@gmail.com.
We are an independent club that relies entirely on parent volunteers for all operations outside of coaching. We have a range of opportunities and almost none of them require any lacrosse experience. We expect that every family will participate in some way.
Fundraising is essential to fully support our team, since we operate as a club and receive no funds from Seattle Public Schools. Our vision is to see every player and family involved—not by donating personally, but by tapping into their broader community network. Invite friends, extended family, neighbors, and co‑workers to join in the fun at our fundraising events. By spreading the word and bringing others along, you’ll help us build a strong community around our program while ensuring we have the resources we need.
We’ll host a variety of fundraising activities throughout the season, so there’s sure to be something that fits your interests and availability. If you have creative fundraising suggestions or questions, please contact Deb Wepman at debwepman@gmail.com—she’d love to hear from you!
We will be transitioning to the Team Snap platform for club-to-family communication this season, as well as to share practice and game schedules. After you register, parents and your player will receive an invitation to join our Team Snap group. Please download the free Team Snap app and join. Until the season starts, we will still send emails from rglaxc@gmail.com (please save this address to ensure that you receive our emails).
Equipment
All players are expected to have a girls lacrosse stick, a mouthguard (must be a color, not clear), lacrosse goggles, running shoes, and cleats or turf shoes. For players other than goalies, helmets are optional and up to the individual player. If you have equipment questions, please email us at rglaxc@gmail.com.
Our 2026 Captains are Abby M., Emmie M., and Emily S. They are coordinating Captains Practices. Dates and times are shared through on the RGLC Instagram @roosevelt.glax, Team Snap, and through team texting. All players and prospective players are welcome and encouraged to come! Any questions or to get connected with the team, just email us at rglaxc@gmail.com.
Please plan to join us at the annual Mandatory All-Club Meeting for players, parents/guardians, and coaches to talk about expectations, tryouts, etc. and share important information for the upcoming season.
RGLC evaluations at Roosevelt High School Playfield. Time will be announced.
Make the most of practice night! While your daughters are out on the field, join fellow parents for a relaxed evening of Beers and Bingo. This isn’t just any bingo game—we’ll weave in fun lacrosse‑themed trivia and conversation starters so you can learn more about the sport and the season ahead. It’s a great chance to chat with other parents, share tips, and build camaraderie off the sidelines. Enjoy a selection of local brews (with non‑alcoholic options) and light snacks while we play. Come for the game, stay for the community—you’ll leave with new friends and a deeper appreciation for lacrosse!
Our goal is to post our practice and game schedule by the end of January in the Team Snap calendar.
